eventremarks	I was leaving my apartment when I spotted a young monarch. I pointed it out to my child because I have not seen a monarch in at least 25 years. It flitted past, landed on a shrub briefly, flying north west... it was a surprise!! I wish we saw more, but I'm not even sure Monarch normally come to Portland. This wasnt a mission and I probably post in the wrong area. It was a chance encounter. Maybe someone from California moved and unknowingly brought a hitchhiking chrysalis. Was lovely to see
