eventremarks	In a mix of locations on our farm: 100m2 pod-stage milkweed with very few butterflies and only four monarchs; a stand of flowering joe-pye-weed and other mixed wild flowers, 3 monarchs; several other stands of Joe-Pye-Weed in flower with a total of 9 monarchs (and many other butterflies, as in each locations ); and a perennial garden, with one monarch on Echinacea. The caterpillars were found on a dense growth of young milkweed 100 m2, not yet flowered (delayed by necessary mowing).
